| Brief
introduction to TJVCA |
Tianjin
Venture Capital Association (abbreviated as “TJVCA”)
is one of the earliest specialized venture capital
organizations in China. TJVCA, an industrial，non-profit
non-governmental organization, is voluntarily organized
by institutions and agencies in venture capital,
relevant guarantee, consulting, and services, venture
capital enterprises and professionals in venture
capital.. The association is under the guidance
of Tianjin Municipal Science & Technology Association
and the supervision and administration of Tianjin
Administration Bureau of Corporation.
After renaming and reorganization in 2002, according
to the principle of “serving members, strengthening
self-discipline of field, promoting standardized
and healthy development of Tianjin venture capital
undertaking, contributing to support high-tech industry
and social economy development”, the association
has made remarkable achievements in improving new
venture capital system with Tianjin characteristics;
implementing venture capital practitioners management,
training of talents; carrying out the communication
and cooperation with the fraternity at home and
abroad; conducting field survey and investigation;
participating in formulation of the relevant local
preferential policy, which enabled the association
to win the honorable title of “Tianjin Advanced
Mass Organization” for consecutive two years in
2003 and 2004.
At present, the association has 45 members with
investment of nearly RMB 4 billion. The investment
scope covers information technology, biology technology,
new energy, new material, software development,
telecommunication, medicine and many other fields. |
